Pope Francis has called every disciple to enter the Year of Mercy with a full heart: "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to those in captivity; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour"
Fr. Vinnie will inaugurate the Year by placing a Book of Mercy on a podium at the front of the church. Everyone is encouraged to write in our Book throughout the Year the Actions of Mercy they perform or witness. Large and small Acts of Mercy are happening every day. We want to highlight and promote the many Acts of Mercy and hope to inspire one another to engage in even more Acts of Mercy. Let's see where the Spirit takes us!
Faith Formation Lecture - Fr. Frank Clooney, SJ and Prof. Jeff Bloechl will give a presentation on December 12 at 5:30 p.m., following liturgy, in O'Connell Hall. Come learn more about the Year of Mercy and how we may begin to participate. All are welcome!
