One member of our current Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), Ralph Generazzo, is completing his three-year term. We have started our search for a new member who will serve for three years. Would you be interested in being part of a group that helps assess the needs of our parish, fosters a sense of community and champions activities? The PPC is inviting potential new members to its next meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 7:15-9:00 p.m., in the Bullock Center. This is an opportunity to meet current PPC members, learn about the important work of the PPC and give some consideration to sharing your time and talent with the parish as a member of the PPC. There is no expectation or obligation beyond coming to learn more about the PPC and membership on the PPC. The Collaborative Adult and Family Service Group of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Sharon and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Walpole is coordinating several service opportunities with South Shore Habitat for Humanity.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Every employee and volunteer who works with children, young people, or another vulnerable population must successfully complete an annual CORI, participate in the Protecting God's Children training, and sign and follow a Code of Conduct.

The 2013 Rev. Robert W. Bullock Memorial Lecture will be delivered by David J. O'Brien on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The title of his lecture is "Vatican II: What Happened?" All are welcome. Come as you are.
